Zipp makes the impossible possible with their 303 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake wheels—they're equally at home on the flats as they are in the mountains. The 45mm-deep rims slice through the wind more efficiently than even many deep-section wheels thanks to their 28.5mm-wide dimpled rims. And, by creating a seamless junction between rim and tire, the increased width further reduces drag. The 303s climb with the best and re-accelerate out of corners like rockets since they barely register on the scale, which makes them a must-have on undulating terrain. The extra wide rim also allows running wider tires at lower pressures with less fear of pinch flatting, which boosts ride quality and comfort and reduces rolling resistance. Plus, Zipp's 77D/177D disc hubs gives you incredible stopping power in wet and dry conditions alike, and they're thru-axle compatible (sold separately) for jaw-dropping steering precision and power transfer. You also get Sapim's oustanding CX-Ray spokes.
Stan's No Tubes' Presta Removable Valve Core is a replacement valve core for Stan's No Tubes Presta valve stems and Presta valve equipped rim strips.

Road bikes are ever evolving and ever inspiring. The Zipp 404 Firecrest Tubular Disc-brake wheelset offers cyclists everywhere the opportunity to experience superior braking and stopping power to match the speed and stability of their most popular and versatile 58mm rim depth. Aero has never been so affordable and attainable. Zipp’s 404 Firecrest Tubular Disc brake is all about road riding and racing. In use at the highest levels of professional peloton, disc brakes are poised for growth in road riding and racing and triathlon. The consistency and power of disc brakes provides precision modulation and stopping power, literally at your fingertips. As for speed, the 404 Firecrest is where the Firecrest Revolution began. If you had to choose just one wheel, the 404 Firecrest should be your choice. With a depth and shape proven in all conditions, it’s a classic all-around performer and the standard by which all other wheels are measured. Its 58mm rim depth is a classic all-around performer that has carried athletes to victory in every kind of event and situation. All of that, combined with the performance of disc braking, make the 404 Firecrest Tubular Disc brake an ideal choice for today’s style of road riding and gran fondos with long descents, super-technical courses and varied road surfaces. Zipp’s expansion of its lineup of disc-brake wheelsets is at the forefront of a technical renaissance of road cycling. Zipp initially developed its disc-brake wheelsets at more shallow rim depths with the 303 and then 202 Firecrest Disc-brake for use in cyclocross, gravel and mixed-surface road riding. Now, the era of road disc-braking has arrived. Firecrest technology, with rims that maintain a near-constant width almost all the way to the spoke bed, is the first aero profile that effectively controls airflow around the back half of the wheel. Firecrest wheels offer stable, predictable handling at every wind angle by moving the center of pressure—what they call aero balance—the focal point of side forces on the rim—to its optimal location near the steering axis. A wider rim built using a proprietary resin system and manufacturing process, increases lateral stiffness for sprinting and cornering yet offers greater vertical compliance for more control, comfort, and durability on rough surfaces. At the center of the 404 Firecrest Tubular Disc-brake is the durable and versatile 77/177D hubset, which offers options for riders to switch wheels from quick-release to thru-axle without tools. The XDR Driver body option allows for expanded cassette ranges including a 10-42. About the 77/177D hubset: - Bearing preload precision set—that means no pre-load adjustment is needed. - Improved bearing protection and sealant. - Includes Zipp Tangente quick-release skewers with a wider more ergonomic handle to provide more leverage for opening and closing. When closed, the lever contours neatly with the frame. - Thru-axle compatible. Comes with thru-axle end caps that can be swapped by hand: - Front: 12x100mm & 15x100mm - Rear: 12x135mm & 12x142mm - Proprietary flange geometry and spoke hole attachment pattern with Sapim CX-Ray spokes to optimize torsional and lateral stiffness without sacrificing weight or robustness. The 404 Firecrest Tubular Disc brake comes with a standard 10/11 speed driver body for SRAM/Shimano or for Campagnolo, allowing you to run a wide range of cassettes. For those looking for a wider gear range, or tackling especially extreme terrain, a SRAM XDR driver body for 177D (sold separately) is easily installed to allow for more cassette options. A 1.85mm spacer is included with the XD driver body and is required for use on the 177D hub. XDR driver body compatible with 11-speed cassettes only. - Each wheel includes 2 sets of Zipp thru-axle end caps, 1 Zipp Tangente quick release, 1 Zipp rim tape 700c x 20mm and 1 Zipp core valve extension per wheel.

If the Ribcage is too rich for your blood, the Rollcage is its more affordable sibling. Using the same proven shape and cross-over-lacing to create a really strong wheel, but industry standard 6061-T6 alloy and no ribs drops the price considerably. While the Rollcage is the lesser expensive, it is still an excellent rim, with the same super tough sidewall and bead profile its the lightest rim we make at 450 grams. You will recognize the rims by their outer shape, but the Rollcage is actually 2mm narrower and easily identified by the groove in the middle of the inner wall. We offer rims in HARD anodized finishes rather than the decorative anodizing used by most companies. Someone said a few years ago that there was nothing new left to do with BMX rims, yet since then GSport has gone on to do quite a lot of new stuff, and here’s an example of the latest. At first glance the Birdcage looks like a fairly conventional “aero” style rim, but there is more to it than that. The first clue comes from the name; birds have hollow bones to save weight whilst retaining as much strength as possible, and the Birdcage rim has a hollow bead for the same reason. The rim’s hollow bead is still big and chunky to help reduce the chances of pinch puncturing or flat spotting the rim, but by creating a tiny hollow cavity inside it GSport can also keep the weight right down. The next innovation was to adapt their cross-lacing design to the narrow inner wall of the rim. They managed to squeeze a few extra millimeters of spoke offset out of the design to help increase lateral wheel strength, and by carefully tailoring the rim’s cross-section we managed to match all the angles to the nipple so that the walls of the rim section act like the ribs inside the Ribcage rim, which helps to support the spoke nipples as much as possible. Traditionally, the greatest flaw in “aero” rims has been the valve hole. “Aero” rims position a lot of very efficiently utilized mass in the base of the rim to support the spokes and give the rim good strength, then a huge hole is drilled through it for the valve stem and a massive weak-spot is created. With the Birdcage GSport has offset the valve hole so that this section can retain its strength. A handy side-effect of this is that fitting a pump is now more convenient. Aside from these original features, GSport spent a lot of time “sweating the small stuff”. They’ve ensured that the deep center allows for easy tire removal and fitting, and they've made sure that the sidewalls, while slimmed down, are still suitable for brake use. The end result is one of their most high tech rims to date. With a weight of just 408g (14.4oz) it outperforms most rims weighing 20-30% more, and the weight saving from the rotational mass of the wheel feels fantastic. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS - Sizes: 20" Only - Drillings: 36 hole - Weight: 408g / 14.4oz - Width: 34mm ERD: 383mm
